David Appasamy has over 30 years of experience in business management, marketing, advertising, sales, internet, network and ecommerce services, investor relations and financial services.
He was Executive Director of a micro-finance company being transformed into a dynamic modern organization providing microfinance along with training and development until March 2012.
He was earlier Executive Vice President at Sify Technologies.
He is the Chairman of Raising iBrows, an audience engagement specialist doing pioneering work online across different forms of marketing and engagement.
He also advises clients in the areas of business strategy, marketing, brand identity, brand and reputation management, as well as digital strategies.

Appasamy Trust: He is the Managing Trustee of the Appasamy Trust
Sevalaya: Started involvement with Sevalaya as a member of the White Board initiative. Has been involved with and contributed to developing the new brand identity for Sevalaya, as well as in developing its new website. Has also advised the organization in its fund raising efforts with corporate in Chennai. Has joined Sevalaya’s Advisory Board on invitation.
Vidyarambam: Started involvement with Vidyarambam as a member of the White Board initiative. Advising Vidyarambam, along with two other White Board members, on vision, mission, structure, succession planning, processes and intellectual property frameworks.
Asha Niketan: for fourteen years, for seven of which he was the Chairman of the Governing Council managing the home.
He also facilitated Alambana, Sify’s social responsibility initiative for youth between the ages of 17 and 21, who were unable to study further due financial constraints or other reasons.
David is qualified in hotel management and business management from the IIM, Ahmedabad. He is an avid photographer, traveller, reader, blogger and social media enthusiast.
Thomas T Abraham
Thomas T Abraham’s career in Corporate Communications has spanned over three decades, with Bank of Baroda, Larsen & Toubro, Bosch and Ashok Leyland. Since his retirement as Special Director, Corporate Communications, Ashok Leyland in 2010, he has been consultant to business/non-profit organisations, with accent on brand rejuvenation and holistic implementation. His interests include travel, writing, guest lectures and (learning) photography and design
Krishna Prasad (JKP)
A Chartered Accountant by qualification, “JKP” (this is how he is popularly known as) has nearly 30 years of corporate experience. His corporate career includes stints with like Agfa Gevaert India Ltd, Sanmar Group, Sterling Holiday Resorts, BPL Mobile, SRM Technologies & Bharat Matrimony Group and has held senior leadership positions.
A seasoned professional, well versed in all facets of the Finance function, JKP provides valuable inputs for organisation development and other strategic initiatives, acting as a catalyst for organisational growth. JKP had taken up to strategic financial consulting and CFO/CEO advisory services to emerging companies, his passion being mentoring the CEO’s. Also wish to be engaged in some meaningful work with non-profit organisations.
Archana leads the Credibility Assurance Team in GiveIndia. She owns and manages the due diligence of 160+ NGOs to ensure sustained credibility and transparency in all donations made through GiveIndia. Towards this, her team continuously develops and implements rigorous processes and controls to ensure accurate and updated information is available to donors at any given point of time.
Archana Hari was part of the Times group for close to four years involved in Corporate Planning & Strategy followed by Media sales. Prior to that, she had been an equity research analyst in Goldman Sachs. She has graduated from MDI, Gurgaon with a specialisation in Finance.
Presently working as Director HR at PayPal India, Jayanthi is an MSSW and has had her previous assignments with organisation like Covansys, e-Funds International & Ma Foi Management Consultants Limited
Prema Ramalingam is the COO of Jouve India Motivated business executive with proven abilities in business development , strategic planning, project management, establishing and developing key customer accounts. Quickly grasps customer requirements , analyzes, and works with team to build new products and services into a logical plan and execution model. Developed pride in motivating staff to achieve large-scale outcomes.
Ramaraj is a serial entrepreneur who has been involved in ventures in IT cellular and Internet. His last venture was Sify ,where he was the Co-Founder and CEO, and was the first Indian Internet Company from India to list on NASDAQ National Market in the US (NASDAQ –SIFY).He was recognized as the ‘Evangelist of the Year’ at the India Internet World Convention in September2000 andwas also voted the IT Person of the year 2000. And in 2001, in a CNET.com poll in India,
Currently he is the Senior Advisor at Sequoia Capital. He is also associated with a couple of funds focusing in the social sector.He is a Member of the Board of Governors of the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta
He is on the board of Olympic Gold Quest (OGQ) a Not for Profit organization. OGQ is committed to bridging the gap between the best athletes in India and the best athletes in the world thus helping Indian athletes to win Olympic Gold medals.He is the Co-Founder and Director of Coaching Foundation of India, an organization that trains and certifies CEO Coaches.
He is the former first Indian to be invited to the Board of Directors of ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers). He was a member of the Global Board of Trustees of TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs).
In 2010, CII recognized him with a Life Time Achievement Award for nurturing the Spirit of Entrepreneurship and inspiring and mentoring numerous entrepreneurs.
He worked in Johnson & Johnson in Sales & Marketing for over 7 years and subsequently co-founded Computer Point &Microland.
R.Ramaraj holds a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from the University of Madras and a M.B.A. from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta
Venky is the Managing Partner at Lok Advisory Services. At Lok, Venky is focused on microfinance, housing finance, healthcare and education sectors. Venky is on the boards of Ujjivan, Suryoday, Rural Shores, Asirvad and IFMR Rural Channels.
Prior to joining Lok Advisory Services, Venky was with Intel Corporation and Intel Capital for over 12 years with experience in venture capital, product development and marketing. Venky holds an MBA from Cornell University and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State in Tempe.
Thilak has over 22 years of professional experience predominantly in IT services industry. He is with L&T Infotech from 2007 and currently holds P&L responsibility for APAC and South African regions for Insurance vertical.
Prior to joining L&T Infotech, Thilak was with TCS for 11 years, where he has played varied roles in sales, account management and program management. He has many professional achievements to his credit. As an example, while he was heading Insurance sales in UK, he was responsible for winning the largest ever deal by an Indian IT services company. The value of the deal was US$ 850M.
His professional career has provided him a wide geographical experience, particularly in the US, UK and continental Europe.
He was raised in Madhya Pradesh and did his graduation in engineering from REC Bhopal.
He plays an active role in his company’s CSR activities by way of mentoring and also participating in various events.
Every year, he participates in 3-4 short distance runs for charity. He is a regular in Terry Fox run and Chennai marathons.
He has recently started to volunteer with Sevalaya – a social organization dedicated to education for under-privileged and elderly care.
Thilak is married to Shalini, who teaches young children in a school using Montessori methods of teaching. They have a teenager son named Nikhil!
Sriram is presently attempting to combine the managing of his real estate and financial interests with his philanthropy.
Before these pursuits in Chennai, he had been involved with Melbourne-based Infoxchange Australia, a nonprofit organisation that leveraged technology for social justice. At Infoxchange, he was responsible for the design and initiation of community development initiatives across language interpreting and translation services, wireless broadband system for public housing, and the management of a community telecentre for public housing.
Also in Melbourne, he had been involved in a volunteering capacity with Engineers Without Borders Australia assisting both with the coordination of their South Asia-based information and communication for development projects, and a community informatics program whose objective was to assist Melbourne-based refugees with their educational and employment aspirations.
He has also worked with Chennai-based Midas Communication Technologies, an Indian Institute of Technology Madras-led organisation, first in their business development division and then as product manager in their subscriber terminal division.
Educationally, he has pursued higher degrees in chemistry, engineering, and information systems in India, Australia, the United States and most recently in France where he investigated the online strategies used by recently arrived Indians to acculturate to life in France.
He considers travelling to be the road to nirvana, and hopes to travel through forty-nine more countries to meet his goal of a hundred countries travelled.
