Denny John

Denny’s belief that healthcare is not a ‘commodity’ has been his inspiration to devote his time working with the not-for-profit health sector in India over the last 12 years. As Deputy Director-Project Implementation, Micro Insurance Academy, New Delhi, he currently manages health microinsurance projects in India and Nepal. His prior experience has been the administration of hospital institutions in West Bengal and Hyderabad, and consultant to various NGOs. He has deep interest in evidence-based public health management, and has conducted, presented & published his research work in areas of economic evaluation, HIV/AIDS, health financing, in various international and national conferences, and journals.

He is a recipient of Commonwealth Scholarship for his Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from University of Auckland, New Zealand. He has been involved as a resource faculty for topics related to project management, social entrepreneurship, healthcare management and health financing for MBA/MHA courses, and NGOs.
